As that songstress without pants said, "Oops, I did it again!"

This one's a blast. 12a is superb. The latter part of 11d ("toy soldiers?") is wonderful- worthy of AB. And there are so many other good ones.

Thanks, Ixion. I was going to mention that but got caught up in the puzzle. It's a nice one.

Then was busy checking out all the money transfer offers from around the globe.
One from Ireland - she's dying - $20M.
This one has an added bonus - her:

Also, thanks to Aristo for that, & for providing the the puzzle again.

I was also seeing red because of another "cryptic clue" query.

No wonder these people have problems with the most basic clues.
They can't read, or follow simple instructions.

Tremendous fun, well worth sobering up for. Thanks aristo and syzygy. In general the smoothness of the clues running together delightful with my favourites being the 2nd clues in 20 & 26 Across and 24 Down. Was puzzled for a while about the definition in the 2nd clue in 12 Across and had to look it up as confirmation.

@ aristo, I've seen 11Down before but I remember being impressed first time round.
