We have a very busy month of birthdays now & have started celebrating the first of them so all behind with jumbo Xword this w/e

However on reading through the solver site I was amazed to read you had started mowing your lawn! Although we are not near floods nevertheless the lawn is far too wet here! I have at least had the mower serviced & sharpened ready for the mowing by season! Today is grey & wet although yesterday was sunny!

We are fortunately not near any floods either, but likewise I was surprised to hear that your lawn is in a fit state to be mowed, as ours is an absolute morass! Mind you, the dog doesn't help tearing around trying to see off the foxes!

hi to both of you
It was a glorious sunny day (one day of sun in between the rainy ones) but I must admit the ground was a bit "spongy" due to the moss having almost taken over, but it looks a lot better now it has been mowed. I am much further South than you redcoral. I don't know about Elle. Our next sunny day is due on Tuesday.

We live in South East London - right on the Kent borders. We've had quite a good weekend weather wise, particularly yesterday and this morning. Blue skies and sunshine!! but it's going to be quite a time before the ground dries out. Mind you, mustn't complain, considering the awful things that have happened to other folk.
Where abouts are you?

I admit I'm probably a little further north than either of you but it's only North Dorset & south of Somerset & Wiltshire borders! We are some way south of the M4.
Alas! We have plenty of moss patches too!
