Only just picked this up and am impressed that you clever clogs are all done and dusted seemingly. Anyone happy to explain 1a: almost fall over penning chapter insert? I am stumped at the first hurdle but help might start me off

I managed about half of this crossword, before I gave up - but I did get 1A.
The misprint is in 'insert'( so fairly easy to spot). You need most of a six letter word that means Fall (season!) with ('penning') the 'c' for chapter inside.

Thanks Malone. I should have found that myself so don't hold out much hope for the brain cells today. Have done a few more, but not enough.

Misprint is actually 'rash'
