i think this sometimes used to happen when non-alphanumeric characters were used in the thread title - ie the forward slash and the hash key.
i thought it had been fixed tho.

Thanks Trev.
Just discovered "add reply" works but "reply to this post " doesn't.

hi busby,
http://www.crosswordsolver.org/forum/?threadid=401458&threadname=/mail#118&newpost=1&post_id=401468&newreply=1

the above link was copied from a "Reply to this post" on Razor's thread.
if you paste it into the address bar it won't work, but if you remove the '#' from where it says 'threadname=/mail#118' (Razors thread title) then it does work.
i don't know why i'm telling you this, should probably tell Ash or Norah but i can't be arsed - the TV programme i am watching is crap so i welcomed the diversion.

Reckon your on the right track.
Glad we're not the only ones fed crap on telly. I usually fall asleep in front of it then my family whinges about my snoring.
I think the're bullshitting me, I can't hear it.
