See you now have all your answers, cloverjo. son1ofrover1 beat me to it. I think you are correct s1rover1 about 39A. I now have an extra vowel but still struggling to get an alternative rendering of this for 1A which would give the extra vowel required!

I was pleased when I found the word in Bradfords yesterday, but I didn't get real words in some of the crossing down clues, so put it away.
Will have another look.

Have just finished this (sort of!). My replacement word at 1a) doesn't seem to give me real words, though. Can anyone give me a kick start as to what I am doing wrong?
For example I get uerate and nuster at 1 and 2 down?

If you have Bradford's, look up the word you have for the unclued entry.
