Hi chrise, it just goes to show we all see things differently but hopefully we always get there in the end.

Thank you for this imagcq.
Here is my stab.

1) One supplying broadband in measured quantity-put in order (7)- Dispose? Dose + ISP?

2) Star,by implication,in dance, drama and suchlike (10/4) Performing Arts? Star is “arts” performing?

3) Tricky word for a couple cut short by an expert artist (11) Abracadabra? A brac(e) + a dab (expert) RA (artist)?

4) Almost tricked at the end of tea dance (8) Chaconne? Cha – tea + almost conned?

This gives DEPSAACE, which gives ESCAPADE.

Thanks, imagcq
Never got further than 2+3. Obsessed with finding one of those South American dances ending in A for 4, and ISP never occurred to me.
