I'm struggling too.. I have 'cram' for congest,? and I thought 'yob' was for the clue 'yahoo'? What do you have and any others for the left side of puzzle? 1a and 1d would give me a start.

Congest is CLOG. I must say the littly took me longer than usual today and am only just on the Mephisto.
