A great set of clues and as much as I enjoyed reading and parsing all your entries I am mightily relieved that a clear winner has resulted; BBM2 @ 25 with the sublime:-

Commiserations to all but particularly the quintet who each polled 2 votes, which includes BBM2's other clue.

I know you will all have your own ideas on who the subject of the clip (I'm trusting the link works) is but hopefully this will surprise and possibly be new to some of you.

Congrats BBM2 - I must confess that if I had read your clue more carefully, it probably would have been my first choice too - lesson for next time.

Well done, bbm2, and thanx 2 ginge for running the show. The clip brought back many funny memories to me of teaching (or trying to teach) English to foreigners! And thanx 4 those votes, too!
