Anyone got ideas for 5D . I have 'EPSS?' which after cycling is 'S?EPS'. Perhaps 'SEEPS' but I can't see the parsing . I have the quotation and also the author which suggests to me that I am looking for 2 triangles to be highlighted . The area in the grid is obvious but again cannot see how the triangles are constructed. Any help gratefully appreciated. Cheers

For 5d, now having Leon's answer for 11a crossing it, I have ?PAS? Which I think gives PASTE.

3D is an unusual word (French for need,want).Think in terms of being in fashion. Starts with 'B' and is made up of three 2-letter English words. Hope that helps. If not come back.
