I'm nearly there, but need a prod with my last two theme words, 36 and 37. If 36 is also a search engine, what is its connection to our two speculative animals? And for 37 I have the three crossed letters RIN but my mind is a blank what should complete them. Or have I gone wrong somewhere? Thanks for any help.

You haven't gone wrong. 37 is the search engine, and is synonymous with one of the themed words. 36 is drink, which according to Chambers can be defined by the other.

i had the search engine synonymous with bull and BRING for 36a synonym bear???

Bear = "any rude, rough or ill mannered fellow", which I reckon is the search engine. The fourth definition under "bull" in Chambers is a drink.
