I'm sure they are, jazzgirl. Nice to know your own government is spying on you- just waiting for the drone to visit me. I think that Nobel Peace Prize might have been a bit hasty.

1. fiddle = racket; slightly inferior racket = b racket = BRACKET = brace (brace = a sort of bracket - Chambers def)

2. “heads” j + e + s + u + s = JESUS (College, Cambridge)

3. beauty = looks; informal cosmetic = lippy (lipstick); linking yields looks + lippy and LOOK SLIPPY! = Be quick!

4. try to find = seek; workers = ants; seek ants, reportedly = sounds like; SECANTS (secant (n) = a cutting line: Chambers def)

5. nob = head; decapitated = headless = nobless; Eastern = E; nob less + E = NOBLESSE = nobility (Chambers def) = aristocracy.
