Sorry for dragging the chain. We are on daylight savings now so It's rather early here and my computer didn't want to wake up. Just spent 40 mins rebooting numerous times.
I initially thought the phrase would be easy to clue but soon found it wasn't.

Wow...always difficult when two exceptional clues emerge, although as the voting pattern shows there were a lot of good ones, my casting vote with apologies to bobs mum goes to rambler with...

I agree with chrise, I found this a very difficult phrase to work on this week - hence the crap clue(s) :)
