Two American tourists get mugged then lost on the Yorkshire Moors. Finally, they come to a small village and walk into a pub called the "George and Dragon".
Penniless, tired, famished and parched, they walk in, wait patiently for the landlady, explain their predicament, and ask politely if she would be so kind as to give them a little snack on the house. She turns them down point blank. They ask tentatively whether she would be prepared to let them have a little warming drink and put them on their way. Again, she refuses. They finally beg just for some tap water. She rudely dismisses the request citing pub policy. One of the tourists then says;
"Is George in...?"
