ginge was giving brooklin as an answer to to tolerate... clue.

apologies to both of you. Yes your right about starling and also brooklin makes sense now. If snag is correct I'm still wrong. Medic should see famine (7) would drought sound right? thanks to you both.

Well, it's Dr (Doctor) + ought (should). Definition is not all that good, though (drought might cause famine, but it's hardly synonymous).
