Cloverjo - I have the answer - a two word German phrase meaning "yes"- but I can't decide where the misprint in TRUER occurs. Can anyone help?

For 10 dn, look up 'geminate' in Chambers, not 'gemini'.

Trier is a German city (where Karl Marx was born), so Trier assent is "ja wohl".

30 misprint of z giving test. The answer is a scientist - look up ****ace.
33 took a long time to work out. The answer is ROOMIE less MIE.
34 Misprint of P in prop giving DROP. O = of then an American abbreviation.
48 Misprint of F in foe giving WOE then reverse of RUST should give you the answer.
44 Look up JUNCO in Chambers.

Can anyone explain 15down. I have the answer but what is word for angry?

Thanks very much indeed Unclued. I don't think I would have got those in a million years. I can only assume that an anagram of 15 with "is" (for "island" gives a disease which if contracted by dogs means they have to be put down, and which means "rage" in Latin , but that's very far-fetched.
Strangely I had put the name of the scientist in the space for 30a as it's part of the name of the subject of the book, but I had no idea he was a scientist.

I too found this thread very helpful in completing the last few clues I could not solve. I am still stuck on some of the 6 words though and wonder whether requesting grid references of the clashing cells is too much to ask so I can check accuracy of my solutions.

alpaca, clashing letters are B/E row 4, R/M and V/R row 7, O/A and I/L row 10, S/E row 11. hope this is enough if not just ask. I have no problem with giving answers if wanted

Thanks Leon. Still can't get the S/E clash in row 11 to make a word although having all the others I can deduce which letter to use. Must have made an error somewhere but the answers in that corner all seem solid. Perhaps you can put me out of my misery?
