Hi, hopefully someone can help got myself stuck in a hole :)

Stuck on 1 or 2 i'm not sure anymore.

14A - Composer's ecstasy (5)
i think this is BACHS, the b and s fit with other letters in the grid. if it is correct it provides the C in the other clue below.

2D - Former pupil has hearing thing (9)
the letters i have are O-S-S-C-N
I just can't get anything to fit with these letters so i assume i have gone wrong somewhere.

Could 2D be OBSESSION making 14D wrong in which case it would be B-L-S but i can't get anything to fit the clue....

Obsession is correct - former pubil = OB (old boy) + session (hearing) = Thing = obsession
