Evening All! Not many puzzled this week. I still haven`t got 19 ac. (8)
? A ? L ? I ? D. Can it be tailwind?? I can`t see a dog or snake (except a sidewinder?) there. Grateful for help, Mags.

21a is a mystery to me to , what those last two words refer to is anyone's guess.

Good evening - I am struggling with 22A "Work period requiring wader". I've got stint, which is a work period, but where is the wader ?

A "Stint" is a wading bird (see Wikipedia)
