1. Ball of fire - i(s) finally excluded from (minus)foreign (anagram indicator) bills of fare (fodder). Glass of brandy (def)

2. Criminal conversation - adultery (Chambers def) charade on mafia meeting

3. Brassie - Old fashioned club (def) - supporters (bras) + heart from Chris(sie) Evert

4. A palindrome - say it how you see it :)

5. Organ transplant - newspaper (organ) + rants about (fodder and indicator) + factory (plant) - operation (def)

Thanks again for a cracking set of clues Jolan and don't worry - I don't think you could ever be described as 'stale' :)

Nice, RE and jazzgirl. I didn't get 3, and came up with unlawful relationship for 2.

1. subtractive anag (from & foreign) of “bills of fare” – “s” (is finally) = BALL OF FIRE = a glass of brandy (inf) {Chambers}

2. (cryptic) CRIMINAL CONVERSATION = (law) adultery

3. supporters = bras; chrisSIE evert = sie; BRASSIE = old-fashioned club ... (alt spelling of Brassy – Chambers)

4. A PALINDROME. That is the answer!

5. newspaper = organ; rants about (anag) = trans; factory = plant; ORGAN TRANSPLANT = operation (= a surgical procedure)
