Harlequin, 12ac is RERO for RETRO, which can be short for "retrorocket" (see Chambers entry for "retro-", and remember to turn the page!).

Sorry, "retro" without the hyphen.

@barretter Yes I got 'retro' after you gave me 'overgreening'. However, the wordplay doesn't quite work for me. PT is the ISO code for Portugal (elsewhere the setter used TR for Turkey in the clueing). So is the photographic evidence 'REPRO'...I'm missing something. Thanks to all for pointers.

I have the same problem but the extra letter has to be "t" (for "beyond the") and the only other possible word is "retry" which doesn't work in any way. Perhaps some other contributor can explain.

P = IVR for Portugal

If you look through the entry for "reproduce" in Chambers you will come across the phrase "reproduction proof" which can be shortened to "repro" : you then subtract P for Portugal from it and get "rero" ; then inserting "t" gives you "retro" which can mean a sort of rocket.
