In tedium, pair wrecked ancient Roman room (10)
- E - I - A - I - M

Thought this a straightforward anagram of tedium pair but simply cannot find a word in any reference book to fit! Please put me out my misery any of you Roman experts...

Thank you very much indeed, Chrise, I genuinely could not find yet it sounds vaguely familiar (to my O level Latin of 50 years ago). Thanks agin....

I'm trying to remember the other two - caldarium (hot) and frigidarium (cold), I think.

I have the advantage of having visited the Villa Adrianna (Hadrian's Villa) in Tivoli recently - it has a surprisingly well-preserved bath house (two, in fact; one for nobs, the other for "other ranks").
