Hi everyone, especially rambler & rossim,

Will be brief. The four clues that I cannot solve are the following:

1. (24 Across) Spain allowed people to come in for gold, for example (7)

2. (27 Across) What drunk did in bar - hurled liquid round about (7)

3. (6 Down) It's designed to spin uniformly - and it does! (5)

4. (18 Down) Grass protects place, so it's believed (7)

Thanks for any help & look forward to reply, with explanations.
