Can anyone recommend a good dictionary to help me with my Cross-wording please?

I've always found Collins English Dictionary to be excellent as it includes places and famous people. Hope info. is some use to you

I also have a Collins dictionary for proper nouns
etc.,but Chambers is always my first port of call,
it may interest you to know that the D Telegraph
crossword,and the STimes Mephisto use Chambers.
