Oh sorry GK, you are correct, I thought I'd checked them all but have put 'the' instead of 'like'
My mistake, I was tired when I typed up the clue lists and should have taken more care, hopefully there aren't any more.

Have had a great day sitting in the sunshine pondering this mammoth effort - started on the easy (?) section 'Non De Plumes', as I knew some of the answers :)

Have now completed that (good clues in there chaps) so will move on to the next grid. Therefore,stand by ladies - one is attempting to broach the 'Strumpet's Boudoir'

btw Les - Liked the 'Gatekeeper' across clue, v clever

I am finding this hard work! About 3/4 done on NW, SW and SE, but struggling with the Foreign Legion, the ladies and the gatekeepers (only two of those so far).

Not giving up yet, though.

I think you mean the clue for 'm' Redelf, I found that a real treat to write, it took me quite a while to get it right but it's one of my favourites.
ChrisE, with the Gatekeepers, I've tried to emulate some of our regular setters with a few of them (Mentioned in Post 12)
A hint for you would be that letters 'b.d & j' have clues that I have nicked from AB's way of thinking (I think) but not quite as cryptic as his usual offerings that I still end up scrathing my head about until I look at his wordplay in his emails. Hope I've done you justice with these AB, if not, it wont happen again. I promise sir!

Trouble is, I usually struggle with AB's clues.......
