Reminds me... A couple of years ago my wife decided to try the GPS she'd had sitting in her car for ages. She called me while on the road and said, "Listen to this! I can't understand what he's saying." I said, "That's because he's speaking Afrikaans." Lovely language, I think; they seem to have worked the bugs out of Dutch. And re SA: I've never seen so many good-looking people in one place.
