I know I'm a day late but..... this is the last clue and I absolutely cannot get it! It's

13 A - Be weakly affectionate (4 letters)

I have D?T? unless I have the D wrong .... that was 5d and I put "RESIDUE" for "remaining portion", which seems to fit.

Please help if you can. Thanks very much.

Thanks, but when I think of someone "doting" on someone or something, it's hardly WEAKLY affectionate! In fact, it's the opposite and the dictionary seems to agree with me. I think the person who made this crossword really blew it, if that's the right word.

Does anyone else use "dote" in the sense of being weakly affectionate?
