Have a full grid except for the single clues which, in my grid, could be equally placed on the left or the right. For example 10a SNIPE - I have S?I?E on both sides of the grid, and same for the others. is it that these answers are repeated on both sides of the grid? Or do I need another word e.g. SWINE (related to Groundhog Day?) on one side. Confused. As always, any hints appreciated

One of your ideas is correct, c. Look at the definition of Groundhog Day in Chambers and it will tell you.
