Just to clarify - "true north" is towards the North Pole - i.e. the axis of rotation of the planet, in contrast to "magnetic north", which compasses point to. This is the north point of the Earth's magnetic field. It is near the North pole, but not identical to it (and it moves around as well!)

I don't speak the language either - I think it should have been "no ken" instead of "not ken"!
