Thanks everyone for clues etc. Still looking hard at 100) and parts of the other two are still giving problems - not sure where diamonds fit in (23) or Eric in (18) but otherwise can see where the answers come from.

23- The name of the film is the name of a diamond.

18- Eric Knight wrote it.
