Thanks from me too, Sudokulover; your link worked for me after everything I could think of failed. I still had to reduce the page size to 90% to get it to print on one page.

I was just going to print it out quickly before going out birdwatching. That was about an hour ago. Well, we all make mistakes. Especially if we're the Guardian Crossword Website.

Just a note - if you printed this off (as I did) before 12 noon it might be an idea to revisit the Guardian site, as it has been updated (eg 4 down now shows as (3,3) rather than (6) which is what my printed version still had.

Really? 15D, presumably, if the word counts are right. But then what's the clue for 14A, and what's the clue for 15D doing there? Is it a straight swop?

I think prospero meant 16d not 15d!

well, that makes a big difference - thank you - unfortunately i@d already submitted on the assumption the numbering was right ....
