smiffy

I never quite know how to handle clues that run into each other, and have got stuck...
6d. ...sheep, ditto, in smaller numbers (5) R---R.
It follows on from 5d Hude letter sounding like you laid into father...(3). I have that one.

I want the answer to be RARER because of the smaller numbers bit, but if the middle letter was a V, it would make the 10a (and the last answer) much more obvious.
Any thoughts welcome.

I think it is fifties rather than fifteen because of the moors bit in the clue

Sheep=ewe, father =fr, put one in the other and presto!! smaller numbers, and the W is okay in 10a.
