A word of 5 letters used in heckling & related to cats in any sense I find just as difficult to find, despite reading an extremely long text on the subject I happened to google! Maybe it's because I've experienced no heckling in English, live or otherwise, for about half a century!

I thought polly was referring to "catcall", which makes sense with the clue, but has 7 letters.
