You don't even know how many letters? Ecce is behold and stannum is tin...

Took Ecce to mean Lo as in behold and stannum is latin for tin. So "Lo, latin tin" gives LoLa Tin Tin , who exists. Is it she who set you the challenge?

Ah! Well la is an interjection that could be used like lo, so if it's five letters is certainly works- and it certainly is Latin! :)

According to Chambers, la can mean behold. So la tin, behold tin.

Ab, I think we're both right - though it's La (behold) as opposed to Lo (behold)+ tin/stannum.

Thanks Malone, you are, I think too kind to me. I was on the track of a "personal" challenge rather than a crossword clue. My latin is ancient in every sense......

LoLa Tin Tin sounds more like a modern Latin to me.
