43a Wrap up and shut up about about the piece of jewellery! (7) ?e?d?n?. Looks like pendant but if so, I can't see the word play. Help please

shut up = pen + and + t (for the)

To be honest, andy, I don't think that works any better than mine - we both have the D and T the wrong way round!

I thouht that "wrap up" would be the containment indicator allowing the about to shuffle the letters.

That should have been thought and there are two about in the clue.

Thanks everyone. Sorry about the repetition of 'about'- I've been having probs with screen freezing and stupid ads at bottom of screen turning on while I'm writing so have logged out and in a number of times during this thread!
Don't normally do this crossword but clue doesn't seem brilliant compared to the Times.
