Hi, long-time lurker but first post. 3d is:

How shoes will appear in schooners, at intervals
I have REGULARLY for this, but I don't know why! Obviously, the 'at intervals' refers to the definition, but I'm stumped on the rest.

What letters did you have?

every other letter of schooners (1st, 3rd, 5th etc)

R_G_L_R_Y

Alternate letters in 'ScHoOnErS' make SHOES i.e. regularly
