is it one word for all the answers or 4 seperate words. ie herd cosh?

where the four answers can be read both across and down?

the answers i have

against = anti

its making my brain ache lol

Its states that the clues make 4 letter answers
the answers then need to be arrange in a wau that it spells 4 letter words downwards thats how it reads to me
