Thanks barrycat i had a few wrong but couldnt see where now i can thanks to your help.Team mate aaargh how stupid am i , i was thinking of a position or something like that, i asked my husband and he couldnt help so he as daft as me !

Niggle probably it knowing daily record usually has at least one weird answer as looking again i am sure letters are right .Anyone else agree or disagree ?

19a(6) Clue....Irrelevant. The answer has to be Niggle (it's the only word that fits)!! The clue is crap (again)and according to my Collins thesaurus this clue would only fit if the answer was 'Niggling'...petty, finicky,fussy,insignificant,minor, nitpicking,picky,unimportant etc.
I'm sure the Daily Record crossword setter is smoking some contraband substance!!

Thanks Mamya, Niggly fits better than Niggle....BUT this is the Daily Record were talking about. Their X/word setter has a semi detached grasp on reason and common sense!!
