Thanks mamya got it, i went wrong thinking of ear in the answer that teach me not to think out the box, but learning slowly but surely weeks ago could never have done this cryptic but after help on this forum from people like yourself and trevor to name a few i only stuck on three today so getting there .Thanks to all for help much appreciated.

one-a-day cryptic crosswords, not too hard and you can reveal answers if you get stuck. they keep them all for a couple of months so you can try the old ones.

I am sure you have helped me in the past greedy kite .Thanks trevor i will try that site i am laid up at the moment so will pass time as well as excercising my brain believe me it needs all the help it can get !
