I don't want to interfere -- our TV with all 400 channels has gone bust this evening & the first hour's entries are far more entertaining -- I just wondered (as the expression was new to me too)whether everyone is familiar with the newer (originally American) meaning of the word, as in the phrase "take a raincheck (on)". It doesn't really matter, just asked myself if I'm maybe not alone in having to catch up on the phrase here abroad!!!
