A good idea would be to write the clue and give the letters which you have and the spaces - like other entries on the site do - then people who don't have the crossword in front of them can try to offer help

Just replace the "a" with an "i" (= 1) and it IS an anagram as required!

i must revolt (an anagram of trevor? - close enough i s'pose) against that, it shows a lack of appreciation for the construction of the clue.
