haeremai18 for 62 the 'field' in question could be for any game where you have to catch a ball but can't. Hence in school you'd be called this. Any help?

32 follow the lead given earlier. a 2 letter word often used in scrabble is ai. An ai is a 3 toed sloth.

Despite other clues given I'm still in the dark on 35, 63, 50, 53, 78, 79, 87, 88. Have thouhts about red shoes, residues, dragnets etc etc but nothing is actually gelling. Any different clues/help much appreciated.

50. A film.
53. Criminal means make an anagram.
63. Don't know - hint requested.
78. A tricky one. Anagram. Land's End = S. Torture instrument. Obscure (of course).
79. A word for the small amount left in a drinking glass (as in dregs, etc). In Roget, Chambers and Collins.
87. Anagram. Electric lead = E. Term for an animal that walks on its toes (as opposed to eg on its palms).
88. Don't know. Hint requested.

Badger4 clue for 63. The act of throwing something into the water to catch fish. Answer is something used by Spanish ladies. Any help in return for 52. Search 6,6. Thanks

Thank Badger - have just clicked on 63. Used by Spanish dancers to make clicks might help.
88 is a victorian/shakesperian word for cobbler. I'll keep working on the rest. Now have 4 to go.

Wileycoyote thanks for 32, got it at long last. You will find the words for arouse and anagram them with R, I found them after looking for ages. 50 The film star is an anagram of the first 3 words I think 78 have got an instrument of torture which would be right but will have to check it again because it doesn't work as an anagram

Badger4 Looking at 88. Just before 50 refers to clue 49. Find a synonym for the tradesman in that answer.

Twinsnan have got 78. The long version of I'll is IWILL, backwards. A pink is a sailing ship and lands end is S. Put them together and you get a finger crusher.
