Good morning! Time seems to fly between Tuesdays. eh? Hope today's offering will prove a wee bit more challenging than usual (famous last words!!). See you later. J

I set crossies just for pleasure. I wonder if some of you excellent regulars would like to try a few of my clues? Since they're new, no letters!

Please withhold solutions till 5 pm (GMT + 1) to allow others to have a go.

2. An academic term for neat orderly trees (9)
3. Like Rodin, Landseer, etc., Epstein was brought up embracing a haunting fear of N America (7)

Nope, too difficult. I can see an answer for 5, but can't parse it; no idea on the others

Hi Jolan.

I think I've got them and will try to be back at around 5pm to check.

I wondered if you saw the great clue in the latest Mephisto?
' Peer sailing ship to decorate exquisite gay minnow (4)

Answer PINK - defined by peer, sailing ship, decorate, exquisite, gay & minnow.

Good! Chris. The comma should have helped. Keep at it!

Hi Tony and well done again. Yes! That was very clever. Multiple definitions. Doubt I'd have solved it. Came across a 'golden oldie' yesterday. Don't know who the setter was, but I sure like it.

CA? (4,3)

I'll hold the answer till 5 but many are sure to have seen it before. So, just post it anytime.

Yoohoo, Jolan! I see three of them, but haven't had my morning coffee yet. Hasn't been the same since my trusty beagle died; he kept me on schedule.
