An easy one this week, with some good clues. I particularly liked:

10A Wisdom of a Frenchman (6)

14A Contention-free inventor's ocular device (15)

Oh, and the Wordfinder is "Land Girls".

That's good, we can put all our questions in one place. I looked at that other site to check my answers for RT42, I found the questions asked up to 6 times.
Remember the famous incident in Brussels when all the British started laughing when "La sagesse Normande" was translated?

Can't say that I do remember that incident, but it seems you have the correct answer.

Perhaps I should have said "A Place Holder" in the title as it is much better to try and keep all the questions on one subject in a single thread. There is a bit of a plethora of "Bad Boys" threads at the moment, with many repeated questions. Very irritating for a grumpy old man who was told by a quack this morning that he may be suffering from H1N1 and there is nothing to be done!
