Does anyone have an idea how those two clues relate to the answers?
Wounded one Romeo almost devastated to embrace? (8) ANS Mercutio
and
Composer includes girl in second act of Julius Caesar (7) ANS Vivaldi
I'm once again lost...

Wounded = CUT
one = I
inside anag of ROME(o)
Mercutio is accidentally killed in R & J

vini VIDI vici?

girl = VAL inside VIDI (second act of Caesar's quote, Veni vidi, vici)

Oh, right! I was completely on the wrong track for both...
I took "wounded one" the definition and tried to construct "Mercutio" from the rest. And for the second one I browsed the 2nd act for a reference to a woman or girl... puh!
