Yes, he's considered a 'pictorial dramatist' (according to Google). I've got H_G_R_H

Also, Something with dingy colour containing bits chucked out - I think it's DUSTBIN I can see 'Bits' anag. 'chucked out' but not the rest or the Def.

dingy colour (dun) containing anag of bits.
i think it is one of those "& Lit" clues, where the whole clue is the definition (they often have a question mark at the end)
