Some real crackers here; my favourites were Les 44a, Wendys 56a, Ixions 64a Lionhearts 48d, - my absolute top one was AB's 54d "stripper in black?"

I've just got to pop out Paul, but will be back soon to add my thoughts.

Well, that's how I felt when peterm sent in his clue for 57d. What a stroke of genius.

I thought 62ac was the best clue. by that I mean that despite having all the crossing letters I couldn't "see it" for quite a while. but when you do see it there is no need to try to work out why that is the answer,it's obvious. and you wonder why it took you so long.

My favourite was 1ac by AB - very Uxbridge English Dictionary.

Actually I haven't quite finished it - can't work out the middle letter in 23ac!

Also, I noticed, les, that you had used the less common spelling on several (e.g. 45dn, 43 dn, 60ac - was this deliberate, or was it just to fit the grid?
