I whizzed through Saturday's Araucaria, until
I got to the last one I need and that is
7 Down, which is "Parcel out from Genesis to Malachi". I have A-L-T and would assume the
answer is "ALLOT", but I can't see where Malachi comes into it. If it's a biblical reference, I don't think Lot was ever mentioned in Malachi - perhaps some kind soul can enlighten me?

OT old testament. Genesis to Malachi I think are all the books. That's part of the way there.

Thanks, rossim - "all the old testament", which runs from Genesis to Malachi, meaning "portion out". (Wikipedia reports that the "Minor Prophets" (including Malachi) were originally placed earlier, but the order was changed)

Got it! Parcel out is the def. G to M is ALL the OT.
