Thats just completely paranoid...I can certainly believe that the US would try to give Chavez, Castro etc cancer though.

In one of Michael Gilbert's books (I think it's The Etruscan Net) someone in a British consulate is interrogated about the cryptic messages he routinely sends through the mail; he's a puzzle-setter for a London newspaper.
