emf,I'm no great shakes at cryptics but you must be happy with the way the answer is derived from the clue before accepting it as correct :)

the DM doesn't always make sense to me, but it seems right, so hey ho, can do something else,
todays has 171 clues, so that why it takes a long time, and i get stuck..
