Is there a simple way of getting to the last page instead of going through stages ?

When you get to the first page of a thread, look at the URL across the top. You know how many replies there are from the index, so replace the number at the end of the URL with one nearer the number of replies- in this case 170.
I can't do any of Jolan's 5!!

Go to page two of the thread and replace the final numbers in the URL with the number two less than the total.
