Has anyone found a definitive answer to this question yet. Is it easier to find than it looks!

pastiche - please explain why you are continuing to ignore the quiz setters wishes? You know he has repeatedly asked that his quizzes are not ruined by asking for answers on Q&A sites.

I am getting very very annoyed with you. This is what question and answer sites are for. Most of the Crossword and Quiz questions asked here are for the chance of winning prize money anyway. Its just like asking friends and colleagues at work if they know the answer.

How can it be the same? If you ask friends and family, only you get the answer. If you ask on here, everybody gets the answer (therefore turning it into a lottery). I appreciate that Q&A sites are all about asking questions and receiving answers, but you are entering a quiz with rules - don't those rules apply to you?

I thought the Great Brain Quiz was still going and it was Quizmail that folded a couple of years ago.

Hi film fan - no, GBQ folded some months ago, because so many people were fed up with answers being given away on the "net" and therefore stopped entering. I fear GFQ will go the same way if "pastiche" and the like continue in this way. I think you are correct in that Quizmail finished as well, but I'm not sure why.

Quizmail finished because the two guys who ran it found it extremely time consuming and non-cost effective. They also cited the use of the Internet for people to obtain answers as a contributing factor though they never actually suggested contestants should not use it. I never used answerbank/crossword clue solver though I looked up general sites and believe many others did too. All the same we won pretty infrequently as there were several 'catch' type questions. I liked it though.
